can you trim etennelus

Hello, I currently have some e tennelus in my tank that has grown really tall (about 15-20 cm) and I want to trim it down so that it will grow back again and i can keep it all in check and ensure it doesn't grow large again, is this possible or would removing all the leaves kill it?

I'm too interested in this as well. I'm looking to purchase quite a bit of it as a foreground for my new 29g. How do you like it thus far?

Echinodorus tenellus is called Helathium tenellum nowadays. At least the South American needle-like leaved variety/ cultivar of the plant won't grow taller than 15 cm max. Often, some plants are sold under that name that really most likely are not H. tenellum but H. bolivianum, see f.ex. this thread for discussion.

I have never heard anyone trimming their Helanthiums much. I guess some of it can be done. I don't think it can be trimmed with scissors in the same way as Eleocharis acicularis - at least the result might be not that great. I might be wrong...
