Floating snails?!

I've got snails that tend to float in my tank. They're pretty small ranging from a bb to a pea in size. Mostly clear shells with brown dots. They'll float around a bit due to an air bubble in their shell and later on they'll sink back down. Just wanted to see if this is a common thing.

Snail farts!! (Thank you Rex Grigg...)

But more seriously, I've seen this and from what I can tell it is fairly normal

Your floating snails look something like this?

Those are common pond snails. Some say "OH NO! Get rid of them! They will eat your plants!" but my experience is that they are both harmless and delightful. You can make up your own mind. I think it'd be kinda fun watching those guys bob around the tank

Everyone seems normal... until you get to know them.

So far, the only snails in my tank that don't float around at the surface are the MTS. I like watching the snails play on the surface! They also like to "crawl" around while upside down on the surface of the water. Oh yeah, and they also like to "surf" on dead leaves that pass them by. I love my snails!!

They don't look like that. Their shell is clearer than that. Also instead of the cone pointing outwards it points inwards making a little dent in their shell. I'm glad that this is a common thing. It have noticed that they like to "crawl" around the surface. I've upped my surface agitation though which is causing them to kind of gather in the same spot.
