pink spots?

recently, the vinyl tubing connected to my lily pipes have become milky white in appearance. I was told it was likely a benign fungus. The most recent development: now I'm seeing pink splotches in the intake pipe. The only thing that's changed of late: I've positioned the CO2 diffuser right under the filter intake pipe, so some bubbles are being sucked right into the filter, presumably for better dispersion into the water. Is this infusion of CO2 to do with it? The pink seems limited to the area of tubing that adjoins the lily pipe--so it gets the most LED and ambient light. I've attached a pic for reference.

I've never seen that but I'm more of the sort that takes action rather than worry. Any wisdom in taking it off to wash it or just replace the tubing? Wondering if it is going to harm the fish or split and dump water somewhere would prompt me to change it someway.

Never mind. I would deferr to Tom's experience!!
