Algea eater for cichlid tank

I am going to convert my malawian cichlid tank into a planted tank.

What's good algea eater for a malawian cichlid planted tank? The cichlids are probably too big and aggressive for otos. The cichlilds are about 4" long. What about CAE or SAE?

I have a clown pleco and three SAE's in mine - but my demasoni are not large enough to bother them yet - and my yellow labs only care about each other.

Kevin

72g bowfront planted, CO2, 4x - T5HO, Eheim 2213 and 2217, 2 angels, pristella tetras, blue tetras, betta, albino bristlenose pleco, albino cories. Sword, vals, hygros, ludwigias, java moss and fern, anubias

2g Mac-quarium. Clown gravel, fluorescent plastic plants, and 2 guppies.

After doing some reasearch on CAE's and SAE's, I would really like to get a couple of oto's. Does anyone have oto's in a tank with cichlids or other semi-aggressive fish?

Ottos would be a snack.

Try a bristlenose pleco. Depending on size you could do a pair of em.

What kind of algae are you getting? Plecos, even otos, don't eat every type of algae.
