Tiger Lotus and other plants

A while ago did a big cleanup with my plants. Cut them down quite a bit since they were growing out of control. Since then I noticed that my pants have been growing quite slowly and seem to be vanishing. My tiger lotus are growing sparsely and the leaves are quite small now and not growing any bigger. Have not added fertilizer or anything. I've been busy in renovating and have neglected the tank. I'm back now and need some advise.

Thank you.

Quick fix while you finish renovating? bury a root tab under the lotus and hope for the best.

The right way to do this will require more info- tank size, lighting, photo period, CO2, bioload, water parameters etc.

The plural of anecdote is not data

You want your lotus big? Most try to keep them well pruned so they dont get out of hand. They get HUGE lol. 110 is pretty big... but I bet a lotus could fill a good chunk of that.

when I got them the leaves were pretty big, perhaps 5 to 6 inches across. Now they are puny perhaps the biggest is 1 inch across. They use to grow out of control, now they are sparse in the tank. I would like to get them back to what they were.

I C. Yeah 1" sounds pretty small. 12" is starting to grow in. be carefull what you ask for lol. Here is mine with 12" leaves (several of them).

I am guessing your plants were growing well until the nutrients were mostly used up, then they slowed down and stayed the size they were. Now since you pruned, and arent fertalizing, they are even smaller and barely growing.

Exactly to your second paragraph.

I've started adding flourish Excel. I'm also injecting CO2. Any other info would help.
