TC Hair Grass ?

I just started a 10 Gal planted tank. I'm using eco-complete uncapped I ran into extreme difficulty getting the hair grass to stay seated in the media. So I used the tie technique splitting it into 3 pieces attaching it to flat stone and setting it in the media. Will this work? Is there a better way? Thanks and Take Care

As long as the roosts are under the substrate it should work ok. Soon it will send out runners and begin to spread
