Question about Bubble counter..

I recently just set up my co2 tank with a JBJ regulator. Anyways, as I am adjusting the nob for the bubbles, is it normal for a lot of bubbles to come out, with the slightest turn, and then they diminish down within minutes? Do I want to give it about 10 minutes before I determine how many bubbles per sec i am getting?

It takes a few seconds for the new bubble rate to get "dialed in" and for you to see the results. If you don't like the needle valve, go get a Swagelok needle valve. Or an Ideal one. Much better.

I would definitely recommend a needle valve upgrade. I hated the cheap piece of crap that came with mine and I finally got tired of fighting with it. I bought the Fabco NV 55 and am very pleased with the precision with which I can change the bubble rate.

If you can, try raising the working pressure a bit.
This fixed most inconsistent needle valve issues I had.

^ taz is right. Upping the operating pressure tends to help with the accuracy of these cheap needle valves. On the JBJ you have to turn the big nut on the front of it, I believe. I run my 3 milwaukees at 30psi to get a consistent needle valve setting.

OK, thanks guys!
I fiddled around with it a bit more and I believe I have things all stabled out.

Thanks again!
