hairgrass tip

can anyone telll me whats the reason why my hairgrass is blackening on its tips
my tank is 50gal and EI fert

Are you talking about Giant Hairgrass or Dwarf Hairgrass...my Giant Hairgrass tends to brown at the tips where I trim it. Perhaps that is the cause?
