Plant suggestions

Friends,

I finally received my finnex planted+ fixture. The tank is cycling now but I would like to plant this sucker heavily from the get go.

I'd like some greens matched with some reds

The tank specs:

10 gallon standard tank
Dirted substrate 2" capped with eco complete 1.75"
Aqua clear 30 filter
Topfin generic heater
Finnex planted plus lighting

Dosing the generic excel (glutaraldehyde I believe) going to be working up to 2 capful everyday.

I know for sure I'm going to have a male betta in the tank with some schooling tetra.

I'd like plant suggestions for this low tech setup.

Thanks in advance.

Btw I'm a fan of Rotala but I'm not sure if there is a reddish form or it. Also the plants in there right now are not permanent

Can't go wrong with some crypts for a low tech setup. Most rotalas will turn red under high light and co2. My rotala colorata turns crazy red, pink and orange under my high light setup. Don't know if you'll be able to achieve its full potential with a low tech setup. Than again I've never tried it in a low tech setup. With low tech I try to stick to crypts, java ferns and common mosses (Java/Christmas)

And I'd be careful. I can't tell for sure but is that lace rock u have there? That may make your GH skyrocket. I think that's usually used in hard water tanks like African cichlids.

It is I think the stone if it is seiryu it will only raise my pH by 1.0 not to to drastic but enough... I'm trying to figure out if I want to cover the top of the rock in moss or not. Thoughts?
