Cleaning driftwood after (poor) storage

I have some driftwood which has been stored in a basement for a few years and has grown some sketchy mold.

Best way to clean? I was thinking of scrubbing it and then boiling.

Or, is it beyond cleaning and should just get tossed?

Boil, scrub and sun dry will do just fine.

Power washing in addition to the already mentioned is good too if that option is available. I am sure that is not an option right now seeing where you live.

Excellent thanks. (Yes it is rather cold out for power washing here).

After scrubbing, etc. . you can - depending on the size - microwave it. That will kill any evil bug residing inside the wood
