All Good

The house heater went out about a week ago. Normally, I let the house temp drop at night to 62 and I put two heaters in each aquarium as I wanted to make sure that the tank water did not drop. The weather has been mild so the house stayed in the 60 overnight without heat and the aquariums stayed at 78. Last night the temps dropped to the mid twenties and the house was down to 48 when I got up this morning. Both tanks were still at 78, nice.

I added a Fluval 306 filter to my small tank as the old HOB was making noise and I got tired of attempting to keep the bio wheels spinning. Ran both filters for 2 months plus to allow the bacteria to grow in the new filter. I cleaned the tank and filter yesterday and removed the HOB. Nice to not have to listen to the thing any more. Will monitor params for the next few days, Am 0, Nitrite 0, and Nitrates 5 this morning.

Larger tanks are just so much easier to deal with as they do stay stable much better than small ones.
