Bits of pyrite in a rock I found

Just like the title says, I found some rocks I really like and would like to use to aquascape my tank. However one of them has a couple tiny bits of pyrite in it. Is this going to be bad for my tank? I am talking a couple tiny crystals here and there on the rock. Thanks

I wouldn't. I think it's generally a good idea to avoid anything metallic.

Also, I don't think the pyrite will last, I believe it breaks down into basically rust and sulfur/sulfuric acid. A tiny amount may not be a problem, but I have no idea what the threshold is.

Iron pyrite in your tank is like having a red iron colored rock in your tank. it will leach in your tank but not any different than any other rock.. Iron pyrite is just compressed Iron so really it is your call. If your tank is planted it will probably help your plants with the micro's it gives off. but just keep up on your water change...
