Quick question?

currently tank is up and running but is not planted.

will be keeping same substrate and will add some flourite.

Will be keeping the same water and filters.

adding new driftwood that is already soaked.

Will i need to wait 4 weeks before i can put my fish in??

I dont want my clown loaches to stress out in the smaller tank i have while i wait for this tank to cycle. current tank is a 50 gallon. extra tank is the 20.

No need to wait that long. If your tank is cycled, adding plants should be a breeze. The only concern I would have is bringing in parasites and snails on the plants. Clowns are very susceptible to ICH so if I were you I'd take them out, and let the tank run for a week at 90F to prevent it. But your biological filtration is all set so no need for cycling. Plants will actually add to the bio-filter.

If you're disturbing the substrate, I'd let it sit a couple days, and maybe do a couple water changes after you're done planting. Other than that, if it is a running (by running I mean cycled) tank, you should be fine.
