You need to set up some way to hold it down like tie it to stones or sandwich it between some type of matting to let it grow through.

Do some searches for moss walls and such and you will get the point. I will hunt around and see if I can dig one up for you...

the floor looks more like ricca to me ? how ever you could attatch the christmas moss to stones using cotton thread(it will dissolve abd by the time it dissolves the moss should be attatched) after a while the moss will grow completly covering the rock if you have enough moss rocks you could acheive a look like that though.

If you need to hold it down I guess you could partition off parts of the tank to have your gravel and wherever you want the moss to be bare floor. Then use something like this and suction cup it to the floor.

Cotton thread no...fishing line yes!!

And yes...the gutter guard works, but you should use the stainless steel kind. It has more weight to hold it down.

BTW...Go in your yard...guarentee there are stones out there.
