Seachem Meridian Gray Coast Substrate okay for planted tank?

I really like the look and some reviews say the plants will really like it. Any opinions? Your help/ advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

Why would you want to? It's aragonite i.e. limestone (CaCO3) which will play royal heck with your pH/KH.

Also, it is a fine sand, perhaps good for planting, but not so much for roots.

In college....so no aquariums for a while.....

Sounds like it might be good for a light brackish tank...btw I have a somewhat planted light brackish puffer tank and use sugar-sized aragonite.

IMO good for brackish or saltwater....maybe cichlids but the grains look a bit sharp to me.

Well after reading the responces I decided to go with Flourite Red. Initially I was gunna purchase the Gray Coast because thats all I could find. I did a lil more lookin around and was lucky enough to find a place that had the flourite =D Now on to the rinsing, and from what Ive read, it wont be fun haha Again, thanks for all the help =)
