Running an xp3. How do you all position your spray bars and intakes????
Our SB is on the top left directed downwards about 25 degrees. The intake is on the opposite side, 2-3" from the gravel, behind some plants. Since the intake is mostly gravity fed, should we not put any plants around it so we don't obstruct the flow???? THis is our first canister.
Plants/fish/algae are doing great after the first 5 days. This site is great.

My spray bar is about 12" from the end of the tank and pointed at the end of the tank in a vertical position. The intake is about 2' away at the other end of the tank.

I think your current setup, or Rex's will be fine. I have my intake about 8" in from the left side of the tank, and the spraybar starts about 6" out from the center, stretching right. (see the pic in my sig)
The spraybar is horizontal, as are the spray holes. Zero surface agitation.
