Hi,
Since i have recently seen the results of C02 injectors, i have decided to make one. But my question is how do i know that the amount of C02 that goes into my tank would be too much> The injector is a 2 liter bottle sugar yest etc.. All im am asking is if i used this on my 20 gallon High tank would the 2 liter bottle give off so much C02 that it would hurt my fish? I have 3 Clown loaches 4 danios and a simaese algae eater.

Hi Alec, welcome to the Planted Tank...

The CO2 level in a particular tank can not be determined other than by measuring it.

You will need to purchase a pH and a kH test kit. Once you have those two values, you can figure out the current CO2 levels using a chart like you can find here http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_co2chart.htm.

The CO2 level that can be reached depends on many factors, like surface agitation, plant mass, method of dissolving, etc etc

BTW, Clown loaches need a bigger tank...
