I spend around 10-15 minutes staring at each tank (3).

The 15g on my desk gets stared at throughout the day - I don't go 10 minutes without looking at it. The 110g gets a good hour of maintenance per week with about 5 mins of daily fish feeding time. I wish I had more time to spend with that one - it may be my favorite. The tanks at home get ignored, except the new one in the bedroom which gets about 10-20 mins in the evening.

Total time each day? Is this a trick question?

I spend about 30 mins each day feeding and cleaning.

Then I spend an hour watching my fish just before I goto bed.

So, I guess you could say an hour and a half every day.

I woke up one morning and realized my living room turned into a fish store!!! HELP!!!!

Hours. I have two aquariums one on each side of my monitor right now. With a third directly behind me. I get distracted by my Apistos, green neons, and botia striata all the time. Especially when I should be typing up an essay or researching boring subjects.(Which is quite often during the school year)

maybe about 10-15 mins each day.
sometimes when i can't sleep, i'll lay on the couch across from the fishtank.
it always seems to knock me out.

Not nearly enough time . . . I think that's one of my favorite activities and I feel like I don't get to do it enough. That's even with one in my bedroom . . . I could do it all day long, if that were possible.

I'm such a nerd. LOL

As I live a retired life, my aquariums get stared at a lot, that is all the time remaining from grooming my dogs and peter-pottering over my little garden doing odd jobs and staring into the monitor to find what all of you have been thinking.

If you have a choice, you have a problem, till you elect your choice. No choice, no problem, only consequences, learn to live with them.

My aquarium is at the living room, so every time I stay there I stare at it for about 15mins. I would say every 2 hours I check it out.

My large 90 gallon tank is in a corner of my family room on purpose. I have found, in the past, that the room you spend the most time in works best for fish tank viewing. So while I am reading or watching TV I can look over at the fish tank. I must look at it for two hours plus a day. My other tanks, a 29 and a 10 are in my office so they get less time being viewed maybe 20 minutes a day.
