Surprise!

What was the biggest surprise find in your tank?

I just saw a two tiny sprigs of Fissidens growing in my tank. I think they must have been spores or something from another trade several months back.

Funny thing is I am about to get some later this week from a fellow member, so I was thinking about it, and suddenly, there it is... weird.

A single baby albino bristlenose fry. I was so excited I was jumping up and down - I haven't seen him since, but now I know I have a breeding pair!

I've also found Riccia and Najas after having been rid of it for MONTHS. Those two are impossible to get rid of!

I've found some hitckhiking corals...but that's about it. Nothing in my FW planted tank. Oh. Snails? Ohhhh, I know. A leech.

Got a leech once from a plant/fish trade. Saw it about a week later...go so grossed out that I nuked my tank and re-did it. Yech.

I had a baby fish that didn't match anything I owned show up once. I guess the egg must come in on a plant purchase.

I was really thrilled to find 6 diamond tetra fry hanging out in my Ozelot sword. They're now growing and will be a part of the herd soon!

That happened to me once as well. The tank was in my office and I accused coworkers of sneaking something new in but they convinced me that wasn't the case. Still not sure where it came from.

I had currently found a Huge Ramshorn Snail, like a red color at that. He was about the size of a nickel. Thats the only amazing thing though.
