First day of pressurized CO2, bps?

I just got my co2 system up and running for the first time in my 60g tank. I'm running it on the outflow of my XP3 into an Aquamedic Reactor 1000 and watching the PH on a Milwaukee unit. I'm watching my controller like a hawk right now looking for the inevitable drop in PH. Obviously I don't want a crash...and watching for leaks from my reactor.

PH reading 7.3 (I have tested to 7.4 with liquids before)
KH 5 or 6 (I think it's 5)

About how many bubbles per second should I run it at until I get a feeling for it? I've got it going at 1bps right now. It's only been running about an hour.

2 bps is a good start for a 60g tank.it all depends on what ph level you are willing to achieve, even if you have at 4-5 bps you'll get to the desired level quicker, then your system shuts down until th ph goes back up .

I'm not running the regulator through the controller at this time because I'm still not very familiar with the little green box. I've got it set up on a timer to go off 30min before my lights do. Hence, ofcourse, I've gotta keep an eye on the PH.

I'm thinking that a PH of 7 would be an adequate spot to shoot for. The CO2 chart stickied over in water parameters seems to indicate I'll be in the sweet spot whether my KH is 5 or 6.

EDIT: The Milwaukee controller only alarms and shuts off when PH rises above the set point. Fat lot of good that's going to do me as I'm watching for crashes, not spikes.
