Which one of these 2 products would work better if I'm already dosing with Macro nutrients - - KNO3 (potassium nitrate), K2SO4 (potassium sulfate), KH2PO4 (mono-potassium phosphate) ?

Thanks!

36g planted, 110w, Pressurized CO2, Eheim 2213, Eco-complete mix; 5.5g planted, 13w, flourite

Here is what Dr. Morin has to say:

I think Flourish is doing a great job on its own!

thanks Wasser. I think I'm going to go with the Flourish.

I just picked up a bottle of it. Good to hear that it'll do the trick
Should I stay away from root tabs when using it to avoid over-fertilizing?

It depends on what kind of plants you have. I would still use root-tabs for plants such as swords, crypts, and anubias (if they're planted in your substrate). If you are growing only stem plants, then it's probably not needed.

If you have an inferior water source I believe that using F. Trace could be a good thing but in most cases a good water change will supply the needed micro's. I tried a bottle and liked it but dollar for dollar it didnt add up for me...
One time due to "lifes ugly schedule" I missed water changes in my tank for 2 weeks, almost 3 and my plants were starting to look "tired" and I knew I was going away for the weekend and would not be able to get to that water change for a few more days. Well I threw in the usual Flourish dose, doubled up on the Trace and went away. When I came back the plants looked awesome like they normally do in the days after a good water change...
But, at that price, my well water does the trick just the same.

Unless its a "show tank", or if your water source isnt up to snuff I would save your dollars... Flourish, Macro's and water changes will grow some beautiful plants

FYI:
Flourish Trace = hard spring water

No, really.
It's an extremely hard natural spring, and they bottle it and sell for $7.
I use normal Flourish as a trace, and am working out a dosing schedule.

I actually just read the product description for flourish root tabs on MOPS.ca, and it recomends that you use flourish as well. So that's more proof that I won't have a problem with root tabs while using flourish.
