I just resolved my hair algae problem I hope. I have been dosing small amounts of Seachem iron. I know I have been underdosing as I am concerned with algae. My Lamotte test kit basically shows no reading due to this. Should I bring up the level? I am a little sensitive to the algae issue not that I got rid of the hair algae. What do you think. By the way, I do have a little green spot algae on a few plants.

Thanks,
Ken

Testing for iron is pretty much worthless, so it that's what you mean, I would forget it. If you're going to test, go for NO3 and PO4.

What are you dosing, what are your light levels, plant mass, fish stocking level, tank size? Double check that you are dosing correctly,

Quote:
that would be vi=m, where v= volume in gallons, i = conc. of
iron in ppm (mg/L) (that your looking to add) and m = mL of product to use, so for example:

so 15 x 0.7 = 10.5 mL
