is there any reson for not using aquatic compost in the aquarium its like clay.

i added balls of it under my vallis and let some cloud up the water every once in a while and i went from 4 strands of 15cm vallis to a huge mass of 55cm vallis with in a month

i only used DIY co2 nad not much filitration

so thee is there any reson i shouldn't add it to my main planeed tank

The organic material may promote an anaerobic environment in the rootzone.

I have never heard of this... what is "clay-like aquatic compost"? Where/how do you get it?

Thank you M.A.F. Looks like good stuff to add to the rootbase of your plants, in small quantities, little balls just like you do. Especially if you have an inert substrate, like gravel, it could improve plant growth quite a bit. Just keep an eye/nose on it to see if any gases develop.
