I need help with ID on this plant.

If you can identify the grass on the left too, that'd be grand!
Thanks,

Looks like Samolus parviflorus, there's no way to identify the grass.

Sean

Aquascape? I'm a crypt farmer.

It's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot.

That IS an aquascape, it's titled "The Vacant Lot".

I believe Sean is correct. I have some S. valerandi in my 75 gallon that I collected from a stream. I think the only difference visually is the valerandi shows white veins in the leafs whereas the parv stays a solid green. Almost like a variation such as H. polysperma and H. poly Sunset V. , same plant, only different. heh
The ones you have pictured are very large and growing emersed ,you will never get that root system buried in a tank. They like decent lighting and grow slowly but steadily and make a beautiful addition to the tank but try to find smaller ones that are submersed to start with, it will be an easier transition.
Good Find !

The grass in the photo is just that... grass. Dont bother with it.
Some Samolus photos...

Thank you Sean and Buck! I was afraid it would be a bog plant, but I guess now I have a new plant for trading (and for growing )!

Roger Miller at Aqua Botanic is successfully growing this species underwater. You may want to ask him for his experiences with it.
