''driftwood questions''

whats the easiest type of driftwood to maintain in the aquarium including on prepp work needed to prepare it for the aquarium,is there any wood avialable that can be brought home and be placed in the aquarium with little soaking,scrubing or baking before hand?anyone know of a good online supply spot for driftwood?thanks.

Hi I have several pieces about 200, of wood already cleaned boiled and dried. It would need to be soaked or weighted however. Let me know the size and shape you are looking for and I will quote you a price. Bill

Your LFS should carry Malaysian driftwood or Mopani that are aquarium-ready. You could try floridadriftwood.com or http://stores.ebay.com/RockArtSource. I know other people on the Forum have gotten driftwood from these places. I get mine from my LFS (Aqua Forest) and from local collection of Manzanita, which I pre-treat.

easiest type of driftwood to use is the one that can fit in a pot you have in which to boil it.

boiling will help remove the brown juice as well as keep it from floating.
