How much substrate should we have?

How many inches of substrate does a planted tank need? I have 3 inches of flourite. Do you guys think its too much?

A good 2-3 inches of gravel... 3 inches is great... If you still need more information check out rex guide to a planted tank...

How many liters of aquasoil would I need for a 29 gallon?

I would say 2 9 liter would do you good... Or 1 9 litter and 1 3 liter bag... 1 9 liter covers a 20 gallon high 2 inches.
