I just hacked apart my tank--trimmed a lot back, replanted tops, etc. Should I cut back on the ferts for a little while or what? I'd say the overhaul affected half the plants in the tank, maybe more. What makes it really bad is the fact that most of the plants were growing emersed, so the tops that are now submerged are actually emersed growth leaves.

This is my first tank, so I'm still trying to get the hang of this whole process. Hopefully I'll come up with something that works reliably for this unusual setup... :?

Note that the tank is only two months old or so. 3wpg, eco-complete substrate, cool water, and excel for carbon.

Just keep testing and adjust accordingly. You will probably fine you can keep your present dosing schedule assuming you didnt remove to many plants.
