Hey, anyone live in the bay area know of a good place to get a 5lb co2 tank. Im looking to spend $40. Thanks a ton!

29 Gallon Standard Moderate Light Planted tank
Lighting: 2x27 Watt 6500k P.C. Lights of America Outdoor Fixtures. 2x 20 Watt N.O. Flor. w/ Sylvania Gro Bulbs (9350k I think). Both are retrofited into a diy 12" tall canopy, with a 4" Diameter Clip on fan facing the opening in the back to circulate the excessive heat from the lighting.
Filtration: Tetra Tech 150 (modified to make very little disturbance.
Aquarium Systems Mini-jet for more circulation.

Have you read my FAQ? I give some great suggestions on where to find CO2 cylinders in it.

Rex,

Yeah read your FAQ which is great, and I have called 3 welding supply shops within 10 miles of my home, they all want $60 for a lb steel tank, empty!

I'm wondering where others in the bay area get there tanks, the bay is so huge, that it is quite possible that there is a great place that charges less. That might not be that far away.

Did you try the fire extinguisher shops? I have to ask because you did not mention calling them.

I got my tank from a welding shop in San Jose. The small tanks (5 lb) are expensive so I wound up getting a 20lb tank for a few dollars more.
