brown Java moss

Seems like all my moss is slightly brown in color, I have it spread pretty thin and tied down with brown cotton string.

Just take out the moss and wash it. The brown stuff is just dirt or diatoms... It turn green once your finish..

The problem is the moss is tied to the hardscaped wood, and removing it would be very very hard. what about using an airline tube to "gravel vac" the moss do you think that would work?

That would work but it wont be as clean as washing it..

Well I will try that 1st since it would require so much to remove it. Next weekend is my next water change so I will try it then

take the wood out with the java moss and clean it, that is some dirty moss lol

the problem is the wood is 3 pices that took me almost an hour to get into how they are now, I am going to try the vac method 1st and see how it looks.
