Your opinion of my first tank plan? Japan-inspired Spec
I've kept tropical fish in some Eclipse tanks for about 6 years, and am enchanted by the world of aquascaping. Thank you for all the helpful information on this forum! I've been totally obsessed with learning about planted tanks all week.
I want my tank to look gorgeous and not break the bank, and pick up anything used or off the forum FS if possible. This is what I have planned so far. Let me know if anything looks off!
Tank: Fluval Spec V w/sponges over intakes
CO2: DIY CO2 & Seachem Excel Flourish
Light: Finnex Fugeray 16"
Heater: Hydor 25W??
Stratum: ADA Aquasoul Amazonia or Fluval Shrimp Stratum
Conditioners: Seachem Prime
Ferts: Dry Nitrate, Phosphate & Potassium + Trace Elements (not sure what kind)
Other: API Master Freshwater test kit
Flora: Dry start!
* Some sort of carpet
* Rocks surrounded with light plantings of a clover-looking plant: marsilea minueta/quadrifolia, hydrocotyle sibthorpiods or similar
* Phoenix Moss floating island (attached with fishing line or suction cup)
* White Betta
Thanks for reading, and I'd love to hear your suggestions!
