HC Cuba turning blue and breaking at the stems
I've been growing HC Cuba in a new 10 gallon tank.
It's been 3 weeks and considering the larger ADA substrate (didnt get any powder) the baby tears are flourishing in most of the tank, everywhere except for one corner of the tank.
This one corner of the baby tears seems to be turning a darker green/blue color starting at the stems, and then breaking at the stems, swaying weakly in the current. I'm realizing that corner of HC is pretty much dying.
I have good lighting (Finnex Ray 2) at 8 hours a day, CO2 at about 8 hours also.
Been researching online, and Jojo at Aquascapes Hawaii said it could be blue-green algae.
So I got some algae control additive, and will keep the lights off for a few days.
But I really could use some help from forum members. What else could it be, and how can I treat it?
