What Is This On My Inlet and Outlet

New tank in the middle of cycling. It is a 120 with flourite black substrate, a heater, two bubblers, a thermometer, and the filter inlet and outlet tubes. Filter is a new FX6. Nothing else in the tank. Shortly after starting the filter I noted hundreds of white things, 0.5-2mm in size, floating around the tank. The went away and I stopped thinking about them. I looked today and the rubber hose coupler between the FX inlet hose and inlet tube, and the rubber coupler between the FX hose and the outlet tube are covered with them. Everything else is clean. What are they. Took this picture with my phone. White in the background are bubbles. The white things are soft and can be scraped off with your finger.

Almost looks like adhesive residue. I see the same thing where the label is attached to a container that I have made into a DIY filter.

I had the same stuff on my fluval 305, after further inspection it just seemed like harderwater deposits.

Thanks for the replies, I believe I will let them stay until I do my first water change, I can remove them and clean them in the sink so that whatever it is goes down the drain.

I've never seen nerite snail eggs so densely together. I'm assuming that's a fluval hose connection which would make those way too small to be nerite eggs.

Yes, this is a 1" hose connector. Both the inlet connector and the outlet connector are covered like shown in the picture. Interesting but nothing else has any. The ribbed hose shown above the connector is clean, the plastic tube going to the inlet strainer is clean. Must be something to do with the material that the connectors are made of?? I looked several times and I don't see more or less, no movement, just the same. I did rinse the parts before I started the filter.
