Tips on increasing Humidity in tank DSM

Hi guys,

Doing DSM, and trying to maintain a 70%-90% Humidity level, but I can't seem to raise it above 57%...I mist but it doesn't go up. How much misting is required to bump it up? I fully saran wrap the top. No holes no anything. Growing DHG, roots are growing, but some are drying out (the tip is getting skinny). Any ideas? or am I misting too little?

In California, super hot as of late.

Fluval 12g tank.

Old School Way - Put a qt. Jar of water in the tank and put an Aquarium Heater in the jar.

Then seal the top with saran wrap. You should be able to get 90% humidity. You need to check the water in the jar daily for evaporation.

57%, where did you get that number from? Saran wrap the top and you humidity is at least 80%.

I got it from my Hygrometer, but it's a rather cheap one...I've been on the hint that it's not giving me the correct reading.

It was at 70-80% for a few days then it just stabilizes at 57%. Weird right?

I mean, the tank is fogging up quite nicely...
