Unlevel tank

My new 75g is unlevel and empty for now. This tank will be on carpet and I won't be removing the carpet under it to help in this case. So my question is what's the best way to level this tank? Do I need to use shims? Do I put them under the tank or the stand itself?

You want the tank to be on a flat surface so level off the stand from where it meets the floor

Okay I bought some shims so I will put those under the stand. I hate that it's on carpet but that's all I have. I just wonder once the weight of the water is in it if it will go unlevel again

I would do a "Mock" fill up just to see were it sits full before adding shims.
