Questions about some plants I received today

I ordered some cryps online and just received them. They are suppose to be wenetti but they don't look like the ones I've seen. I'm thinking they might have been grown emersed. Also they're were starting to melt durring shipment. If I plant them will the emersed leaves die off and will new leaves come back?

Most commercially grown crypts are grown emmersed. Expect some melt, new leaves will grow in time.

I guess I'll plant it and see what happens. I'd post some pics but I'm super tired right now. Thanks for the help I didn't know what to make of it.

On the flip side... if you paid Crypt wendtii prices and end up getting any other variety, I'd chalk that up as a win in your book. They seem to be the cheapest and easiest to obtain at the moment.

yeah emersed grown crypts are how 90% of them are bought wholesale or from a plant dealer, the leaves will melt away and they will come back, it sucks but when there grown emersed they will have some die off on the leaves, I have had some emersed plants loose only a few leaves and u can tell the new leaves look less slick or shiny and alittle less green for sure
