10g planted set up suggestions/ideas/introduction!

First hello everyone I'm a long time lurker and member of a smaller aquarium site! I've kept a 29g planted for around 2.5 years so I'm not entirely new to the hobby!

Problem is my 29 can't come to school with me and my roommate just set a tank up so I have the bug again haha

Thinking a 10g. Going with black sand probably black diamond! Not sure what kind of decor yet but it will of course be a planted tank or I wouldn't be here right??

End result I would like a medium-heavy planted tank, ill have MTS from my 29, I'd like to have a few shrimp, a few bottom fish, and a couple small swimmers with 1-2 show type really neat fish, but I'm in no rush to jam it full want to get plants going first, it will be running 2 13-15w CFL bulbs!

I suppose I'm here looking for suggestions/advice on fish/shrimp/plants I'm hoping to pick up a few plants from the boards here!
