What is really weird bug on my Aquarium?

Hey guys,

Today while i was doing a major cleaning on my planted tank found this small friend with really weird aspect (looks like a shrimp/mosquito/scorpion sort of thing, does anyone know exactly what is it?

Is that a dragonfly / damselfly larva? just a guess.

Looks very damselfly to me. Micropredator, so if you've got microfish or microshrimp in that tank, he'll make a microlunch out of them.

sorry about the image issue, and thanks a lot for your feedback!

i had never seen a damselfly larvae before, and it looks indeed exactly the same as the one i had on my tank. It was mysteriously walking in a driftwood that has moss where all my shrimps spend the day and night (so i guess it was feasting on the small shrimps)

is there something i should be worried about with these larvae? i have less than a year in the hobby so everyday is a new learning

As mentioned, they can be nasty towards fish (and fry) or inverts that they can catch. I would suggest getting it out if you're worried about that...
