Need ideas for filling in an Iwagumi Void
Hi everyone, I have setup a 10gal Iwagumi CRS tank 3 weeks ago. The DBT carpet is growing nicely. The DHG is growing slower but still nicely.
There is a section where the marimo ball is that is not planted yet. It is currently a void. I want to fill that gap with a plant that will complement the DBT carpet. From frontal view, the ball takes up much space but its actual barren surface area is a good 5''x5''
I'm thinking some type of moss but **what are other good carpeting plants that will either complement or provide contrast?** I want to plant it somehow so there aren't really any foreign objects in my tank. ( God forbid a copper leak) Although I like moss, I have no idea how to "plant" them or avoid having it grow on something.
This picture is from a week ago. The carpet has grown and my CRS moved in, fish taken out.
- 10 gallon
- Flourite Black Substrate
- Aquaclear 50 with a prefilter and Purigen
- Fluval CO2 system at 1 bubble every 2.3+ seconds.
- Finnex Fugeray 16''
- Flourish @ 2x a week 1ml
- 17 CRS + 12 nerite snails
- GH 7, KH 5, pH 7.4-6, All nitrogen levels are zero since this is a CRS tank.
P.S. Any suggestions for wallpaper for an Iwagumi? I can see my deranged cords through my CRYSTAL clear glass. Cable management suggestions?
