Yet Another CO2 Question?

How much ahead of my lights should I have my CO2 come on/off? I have a 46 gallon bowfront with a 25" Rex Griggs style reactor and pressurized CO2.

I turn it on 1-2 Hours before, and off 1 hour before lights off. If your fert regiment and tank is stable, you can try different timings and observe the difference in how fast before pearling appears.

The other factor is your rate of injection. For example DIY CO2 users with low rates of CO2 injection often leave the system running 24/7. On the other hand, if you inject enough CO2 to hit 40-60ppm levels within an hour, then you may have midday breaks in the system once the levels are hit to prevent overshooting.

Well with my expirience I turn mines just a few mixtures before the lights. I have a 10 pound pressurize and it does a good job at keeping the co2 levels at the same rate and I turn it off like 10 minutes before I turn my lights off
