Avatar themed aquarium has working waterfalls... underwater

Found this insane video of an Avatar themed aquarium that has working waterfalls... underwater. It kind of blew my mind.

http://thegrue.com/avatar-aquarium-w...waterfalls-it/

I added a quick breakdown of how it works there with links to more detailed instructions. That effect is just so freaking cool.

Normally, I would consider something like this a little gimmicky.

But it looks SO AWESOME, it is exempt from my judgementalism.

Wow, nice job!

I have been on board with sandfalls since last summer and I want to do at least one eventually. The how to videos on youtube are good enough to learn from. From there imagination and design has to kick it to make it unique. More people are trying it but its cool to see it with the floating island. Now most don't share how to make floating island because their tank wouldn't be unique at that point.

Im just guessing, but maybe there using styrofoam. Then with enough paint and patience, figure out exactly how much paint is needed to weigh down the styrofoam enough. idk, who knows. When I figure it out, I will make sure NOT TO SHARE. LOL

As cool as that waterfall is, I can't even imagine how much of a pain it is to maintain the tank.
