Fluval Edge Top Removal Video How To

The information I got from removing the top off an Fluval Edge was sketchy, some had problems, some did not. The trick is to use a regular straight edge razor. Thats all you need. Total time about 10 minutes.

I decided to make a video so other people can get an idea what is involved in case they want to do the same thing.

In the video, I also show how I got some shrimp stuck in the HOB Edge filter and how I solved the problem with some bathsponge mesh.

Hope this helps people who want to rimless their Fluvals for whatever reason.

Nice DIY video. I was surprised you didn't use the fishing line. I've used dental floss to "saw" though silicone before during a disassemble.
