Can't kick the ich.

I have had a 25 gallon tank set up for a few months with anubias, java fern, and nine platys. A few days after I got some fish they had a small outbreak of ich, but it quickly went away although they continued to rub on leaves and driftwood. A few days ago I had another outbreak and decided it's time to treat it. I have some PetCetera Anti-ick but I was wondering if it will harm my plants (it doesn't say what the active ingredient is)? Also it says on the bottle to add a dose evey 24 hours, will the medication not continue to build up and O.D. my tank? Also should how long should I treat the tank for, how high can I turn the temperature, how frequently should I do water changes (siphoning the bottom), and how will the frequent water changes affect the dosing of medication? I want to do a long thorough treatment really wipe this annoyong thing out. I can't stand to see them scratching.

Someone posted this Ich - Aquaria Akamai the other day and I thought it was helpful. I was able to completely cure Ich completely by turning the heat up to 86F for 2 weeks, no salt, no medication.
