Thumbs up READ AND POST IN THIS THREAD!! Its Experiment Time!

hey guys!! how is everyone? im doing well and the semester is almost over for me so im gonna start a new project hehehehehehehe

i have a lot of spare aquarium parts that im gonna make a 'Dr, Frankenstein' style tank with.

heres the short list:

20g long
10g
2 strip lights (came with 2 above tanks)
lots of substrate
flourite
spare plants from other tanks
a spare AC20
eheim 2213 (spare) (brand new)
various pumps (water and air)
tubing galore
fertilizer to start a farm

....and heres the kicker:

a coralife deluxe 20" 96watt CF light fixture w/ 6700/10000k bulb (quad tube shabang!)

you guys wanna help me build something??--im gonna go purely by what you guys post and see what happens!!!

keep in mind ill also be setting up pressurized CO2 once i get the $cash$ for a manifold.

Cmon guys--this will be a true "Plantedtank.net community tank"

cheers,

Eheim Pimpin 225

why not?? i think it will be an interesting experiment to see what everyones suggestions will be. id like to have as many people as possible add their input as to where this project goes.

this will be a photo album / journal when the setup begins so everyone can see where the tank is going.

cheers,

i have some awesome stones i collected form a recent trip that ill post photos of tonight.

so far i have these suggestions:

shrimp--rummynose tetras
flourescent gravel--castle--skull--no fishing sign (none will be used since im not buying that stuff)
dragon stones (too expensive, plus i have better rocks)

dwarf hairgrass=good
moss= good

keep em coming!

I vote krib breeding tank in the 20 and use the 10g to put the babies! The 10g could make a nice moss tank with some wood and/or rocks. It would be very low maintenance and wouldn't even require Co2.

90g journal:
