The other flourish products.

I see that flourish has quite a few products out there. flourish, excel, potassium, iron, nitrites, and maybe more? I see that for the most part people rave about excel but, are the others necessary or helpful?

If Im already using eco-complete with root tabs, and excel would using any of their other products benefit me? Or, is this one of those independent person situations where what might help you won't help me.

A lot of people use them. A lot of other people use Greg Watson fertilizers as they're cheaper....

They don't help you if you are already dosing NPK and micros. If you aren't, then yes, they help tremendously. It's the same fertilizer. However, Seachem is very expensive. Greg Watson sells dry NPK, mocros, iron, etc.

I use Fluorish (regular micros), Fluorish Excel, and Fluorish Iron. I use Fleet Enema for phosphates, Green Light for Nitrates, and I get Potassium sulfate from my chemistry teacher. I'll be switching to GW when supplies run out.

In college....so no aquariums for a while.....

I've heard great things about greg watson's stuff so I might give that a try. FD3S told me for around $20 (I think) you can get enough stuff to last you damn near a year so if that's the case then I should definitely head that direction.

Im still baffled by the whole dosing this and that, got lots of research left to do. I guess all in all I don't know yet why this is dosed or what the outcome of dosing that will have.

All in the learning process, the amount I've learned here already is priceless to me.
