Possible to gas just one fish?

To start 6 foot 125 gallon tank, fully planted. Co2 off at night, on all day.

My bn plecos are acting oddly. They are fine in the day, but for the last two nights, they go into what looks like a state of paralyses. I can pick them up, whatever they don't move, I move them to a ten gallon, no co2 and they come back.

All other fish are okay, no signs of sickness.

Been through everything and nothing else fits, all other fish are normal NO gasping, no signs of stress

Anyone had a bn pleco fall over at night and wake up fine and dandy in the day??

Exactly what happened to mine. Keep in mind that Plecos cant swim like reg fish. They cant go to the top and gasp for air If to much co2 is fed. I lost 2 golden nugget plecos from co2. Sadly, when I flushed them they were probably still alive and in that "paralyzed" state.

Interesting.... I will have to keep this in mind when my co2 system comes in. But my bushynose pleco occasionally comes to the top of my 24" tall aquarium for a gulp of air. I don't know if it's common but they should be able to do it if the tank's not too deep and they're smart enough.

Ive had that happen before. Came home and he was laying down sideways but breathing. Turned of co2 and raised up my filter above waterline but thought it was gonna die. Woke up next morning he was fine as could be
