Not Getting Plants For A Week, Already Set Up Co2, is it safe to just leave it?

Well, I got a bit ahead of myself, and set up my CO2 system and tank before I have any plants! Anyway, they won't be here until friday of next week. Is it safe to just leave it as is? Should I close the CO2 Tank valve?

I don't just want to run it all week, and grow a bunch of algea...

Thanks guys!

If you have no plants, why run any lights or CO2? Turn it all off, except the filter to circulate the water.

I understand that, I'm just trying to figure out if it is bad for the regulator to simply be off all the time, holding in the pressure of the tank.

If you have no lights, you will have no algae (I think), so that would be one way to handle this. It doesn't hurt the regulator to have the solenoid valve closed for a week or so. Nor would it hurt the regulator to have it's adjustment knob turned so it was off for that long. But, just shutting of the tank valve might be the best idea, as long as it isn't a Milwaukee regulator.
