Christmas wish list....

Dear Santa Claus,
I have been a very good woman this year, I do my 50 percent water changes weekly, I have beaten back BBA in my tank, my fish are happy and my plants grow like weeds. I would like to have the following things under my aquarium stand (or in the tank) on Christmas day.

CO2 regulator
Pressure Regulator w/Solenoid
(I am going to buy this when I get the gumption to hit the order button)

Co2 Drop checker (its cool, and useful)
eBay: Co2 Drop Checker-monitoring proper dosage of CO2 (item 250052754249 end time Nov-28-06 15:59:48 PST)

Power Bus strip (safety 1st!)
Power Bus Strips

Dry mat (no more using bath towels)
Aquarium Maintenance & Cleaning: Drymate Aquarium Cleaning Mat

This would be nice and handy, New Fish Acclimation Kit
Proper Handling of Aquarium Fish: New Fish Acclimation Kit

I would like one of these moonlights for my nano. I already have one for my 16 gallon and I love it.
eBay: LED Aquarium Moonlight Single n Power_Supply Moon light (item 160053420656 end time Nov-23-06 09:05:11 PST)

If my husband's 3 year old, evil, nasty, aggressive, but beautiful betta in my 5.5 gallon would happen to go to heaven, I would really like these for 5.5 gallon
Cherry shrimp
Petshrimp.com -- All about shrimp

I'll never be able to afford these but I can dream Microrasbora sp. Galaxy
The next big thing: Microrasbora sp. Galaxy | Practical Fishkeeping magazine

I have a piece of driftwood this moss would like great on.

The regulator is a great one, especially at that price. Not sure how much longer it'll last at $55.

You can make your own drop checker! Check out the DIY forums for a post by Hoppy.

And you can get a control valve, two suction cups, and 2 feet of vinyl tubing for less than $2.50 at most LFS. I actually use a 2-way gang valve to acclimate multiple fish bags at the same time. Same principle. One tube from the aquarium to the gang valve, held on by a suction cup to the inside of the tank. Two tubes from the gang valve into my little fish buckets held on by a suction cup each. =)

My wish list:
Two of these bad boys: 20" Orbit 2x40W SunPaq w/Lunar Light (Current)

...and that's about it for now. Oh, maybe a canister filter and a set of ADA lily pipes. =P

Dear Santa or whoever is running the shop this year,

I'd like a XP2 and a miracle that will rid me of hair algae forever. I want that more than world peace.

Dear Santa,

I want a fully functional and insulated fish room/garage with half low-tech and half high-tech setups, automated water changes, automated fert dosing, a new pump for my 4 ft LFS system, and a good variety of bait to go with it. I'd like to find a way to plumb together 2 46 bowfront tanks as a display for the living room, a pond trough for the backyard, a mini-greenhouse for growing my crypts emersed and I'd love to get my hands on about 200 long finned white cloud tetras.

I'd also like new kitchen counter tops and sink, a new bathroom vanity, new floors throughout the house, a new heat-coil unit for my heat pump furnace, a water softener, new front storm door back door and bedroom/bathroom doors, a porch extension, a vegetable garden, a sump pump installed in the crawlspace, and all new landscaping.

A girl can dream, right?

I've been REALLY good... I promise!

Santa, if you can't manage that, maybe I could just get time with family and friends and a new ornament or two for the tree.

- Jen

You will be able to afford those galaxie rasboras heh. I picked up 8 for $8.99 each. It's not THAT expensive, and that was from a LFS. I just got some Goo Obo for $60 even better AquaBid.com - Your Aquatic Auction Website
:P Just have to shop around, and picked them up local.

Since I only have a 20G (Santa please bring me a 120 gallon w/ lights and CO2 heh) I have to put in interesting small fish.

Not sure on the fish accliamation kit, I just use airline tubing and channel locks lol

Dear Santa,

I want to get a new tank. I don't need harware, just the tank. Looking for dimensions like 12"x12"x9", rimless and frameless please-- straight glass, not curved/bowed anywhere. Well, if you don't get it for me, I'll probably ask a custom maker to do it back in Hawaii anyway. :P

Also wouldn't mind a stand for that tank. XD

Oh, and if you're feeling extra generous, get me a macro lens!

Merry X-mas,

Steven

PS-- Though I care about aquarium stuff far more, I would love a Nintendo DS so I could catch all 400 whatever pokemon are out there now! Or a PSP so that I can use my gitaroo to fight the evil gravilians even at airports between school and home.

Dearest Santa,

I'd like a new tank and a shoal of young altums.

If not the one above, a ticket to Scotland would be nice.

Heh, I've been dying to get altums and Puntius denisonii but I prefer the former.

He'll go and catch them straight from the Amazon as he drops off gifts in South America.

Why not? Free of charge and he won't have to spend several pennies just for me.

Dear Santa:

I would like you to alleviate some of my stress this year. I am pleased you allowed me to find this place, because I forget about all of life's pressure and focus on some plants and fish in a tank <hell, did you see I am almost at 2000 posts? If that is not an indicator of stress-escape, I don't know what is!> Anyway, help me find the right gifts for everyone, and take care of our troops all over the globe. That pretty much covers it all!
