Craigslist/Internet/etc WORST finds

Due to the popularity of the best finds thread (https://www.plantedtank.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=377521) here is the worst finds thread.

To start:

65 gallon complete set up $1200 - nothing special about the tank, canisters, or lighting...doesn't even have a co2 kit

I see lots of these types listed. I love it when they've so over priced stuff that I really can get it all cheaper buying it new.

I've seen people ask thousands for tanks under 300 gallons... Reefers probably see a lot more nonsense than us freshies do...

What I keep seeing a lot of are tanks listed as one size (usually larger than they really are) that are clearly not.... typically these are 40 breeder tanks listed as "80-90 gallons".

Then there are the ones listing plain empty tanks for more than you could go buy them for new.... those always get me. Who's going to pay $150 for an old and crusty 55g tank? No one! How about a 10 gallon for $25. No thanks

I don't want to jinx it but I am planning on picking one up tomorrow that can go in the great finds.. it's a 90 tall (36x24x24) with stand for $100. It's going to be my new hermit crab tank.. I think.

An entire fish breeder room for free. As long as I haul off everything together.

I did. Then I posted that I am giving away most of the stuff (that I didn't need). I kid you not - the word "Free" resulted in people messaging me within 5 (five) seconds of posting! I assume people have some kind of RSS feed on their phones or something. There where also people driving 80 miles to pickup a free 2' piece of white PVC pipe and an air pump from the mid 70's.

That was the time when I realized that Craigslist is chock full of weirdos.

Every time petsmart has their $1 gallon sale, I see a bunch of 40 breeders popping up on CL for $100+ each.

We actually have a thread like this on another aquaria forum. We usually post overpriced stuff, link it to the original thread and have a laugh (not making fun of the poster but at how silly the price is).

At one point someone posted an ad selling their, "breaded dragons".

Okay not Craigslist, but still worth posting.

I was walking around Salvation Army this morning (waiting for the LFS to open) and saw this box. Immediately got excited because I need 36" lights!

Excited, I look for a price tag.

BINGO! Wow. Okay it's not free but assuming it works $20 isn't a bad price.
I open it up to test it out and...

WOMP WOMP
