Jamie,

I will suggest some reading. http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_p...izer_intro.htm

You can get these ferts most places, I like http://www.gregwatson.com/products.asp

However I would caution you not to add anything to your tank until you know what your parameters are presently at. Not to mention are you adding C02, and what is your lighting WPG

Jamie, listen to Jason's caution. Plants take some time to establish, and won't grow quickly without correct lighting. Add a ton of light and the plants use up CO2 and nutrients quickly, thus you'll have to supplement with injected CO2 and nutrients (fertilizers like the ones you mentioned).

You you really need to do first is answer this:
how many watts of lighting over the tank?
are you injecting CO2?
and what are your nitrAte and phosphate levels? should be a 10:1 ratio to be balanced (10ppm nitrate for every 1ppm of phosphate)

Those are your Macro Nutrients Jamie
Nitrates are supplied using potassium nitrate (KNO3) Target is 5 - 10 ppm
Phosphates are supplied using monopotassium sulfate or Fleet Enema Target is .5 - 1 ppm
Potassium is supplied using potassium sulfate (K2SO4) or potassium chloride (No-Salt) Target is 20 ppm

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!
Here My readings for my 55 g Discus planted tank, PH 6.4, NO2.05ppm, NH3+4 0ppm. Yes I do run CO2. I use The hagan bubble ladder and diy yeast batch. Seeing the hagan is only good up to 30 gallons. I have no idea why my N0 2 is so high.
One more, were can I get the pottasum, mag supplements from other than the internet?
And Thanks!
