moving plants around in the tank...

i have tried searching on the forum but i must be using
the wrong words...

anyway i was wondering how much it would shock the plants
if i move them around? i was thinking of moving my DHG around
in the tank plus i might separate them, i think i have them in to
big of clumps. i want to split them up into like 9 bunches and sort of checkerboard them in a diff part of my tank

btw dont mind the crab, its my daughters, i almost had to put a
princess mermaid that was like 10in tall in there....

Yes, split them up into small pieces. Look for Green Leaf Aquarium's youtube video that explains how to plant them.

As for a "shock" some plants have it, some don't. DHG doesn't usually have this issue.

Different plants react differently to being moved. Root feeders react the worst. Most stem plants couldnt care less how much you move them within reason (my experience). In all my experience with moving plants, I just have to say NEVER move around crypts too much. Every time you touch or move a crypt its like putting it in a whole different tank with different water params. It melts alot. If its a root feeder be careful, and make sure that where you put it next is the last time you move it, also beware it will probably melt alot and expect a several week long acclimation period for root feeders after moving them.
